Berg. While scuba-diving on Sunday afternoon, a 23-year-old man got into difficulty and sustained severe lung injuries. As the police in Berg revealed, the facial breathing apparatus used by the diver became partially frozen while diving in Lake Starnberg near the Schlosshotel Berg; he experienced trouble at around 33 meters depth.
He was unable to breathe properly due to the defective equipment and removed the mask in panic. Subsequently, he resurfaced too fast and suffered acute breathing problems. There was severe damage to the lungs and he was flown via helicopter to hospital. Despite the severity of the incident, there is no danger to the man's life and he is now in a stable condition.
